Oil Tanker Hit in the Strait of Hormuz

In a statement based on military sources, UKMTO said that a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz had been struck by an unidentified munition.

The statement said that two crew members aboard the tanker sustained minor injuries and that the vessel continued sailing to its next port of destination under its own power.

Noting that no environmental pollution had been reported, the statement advised vessels operating in the area to proceed with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.
