YAKAMOZ Fleet Strengthened with Two New RAstar 3200-W Tugboats

The sister tugboats MED GEMLİK and MED ALİAĞA, designed by RAstar 3200-W, were delivered from Med Marine’s Ereğli Shipyard in mid-September and joined the YAKAMOZ fleet.

The fleet structure, which began with MED CEYHAN and MED İSKENDERUN, recently built and delivered at Ereğli Shipyard, continues to grow with the addition of MED GEMLİK and MED ALİAĞA. Sharing the same RAstar 3200-W design, these two tugboats will form an important part of YAKAMOZ’s modern fleet with high operational capabilities.

Built at Ereğli Shipyard with Med Marine’s engineering and shipbuilding expertise, MED GEMLİK and MED ALİAĞA were designed to operate in a variety of challenging port operations, with 80 tons of bollard pull and a crew capacity of 8. Combining high pulling power with precise maneuverability, the tugboats will be capable of performing not only standard towing and port operations but also emergency and rescue operations, thanks to their firefighting systems meeting Class FiFi requirements.

With their powerful propulsion systems and versatile operational capabilities, MED GEMLİK and MED ALİAĞA will further strengthen YAKAMOZ’s capacity to provide safe and uninterrupted services at sea.

With MED GEMLİK and MED ALİAĞA entering service following MED CEYHAN and MED İSKENDERUN, YAKAMOZ continues to steadily expand its fleet in line with the same design philosophy and operational standards. The RAstar 3200-W series of four sister tugboats will serve as an important part of YAKAMOZ’s journey toward building a strong, modern and reliable tugboat fleet. Med Marine, meanwhile, continues to contribute to the development of the YAKAMOZ fleet through its high-standard shipbuilding capabilities developed at Ereğli Shipyard and its many years of experience in tugboat operations.
