MED MARINE Launches Two New RAmparts 2500-W Tugboats
The two sister tugboats, built for MED MARINE’s own fleet at Ereğli Shipyard, have successfully entered the water and are now in the final stages of preparation before commencing operations in Turkish waters.

MED MARINE has successfully launched two new RAmparts 2500-W tugboats built for its expanding fleet. Constructed at Ereğli Shipyard and launched at the end of April, the sister vessels have reached a major milestone and are now undergoing final outfitting and commissioning works before entering service.
Designed for demanding harbour and towing operations, the tugboats combine power, manoeuvrability, and operational reliability. With a minimum bollard pull of 80 tonnes and a top speed of 12 knots, the vessels are equipped to support a wide range of marine operations. Both tugboats are also fitted with an advanced FiFi firefighting system, enhancing safety and emergency response capabilities.
The newbuilds feature comfortable accommodation for up to eight crew members and are engineered to perform efficiently in challenging weather and operating conditions. Their robust design and modern equipment will contribute to the operational strength and flexibility of MED MARINE’s fleet.
The project reflects MED MARINE’s continued investment in its own fleet and underscores the company’s confidence in its shipbuilding expertise. From design and construction to final delivery, the company maintains a strong focus on safety, durability, and long-term operational performance.
