Asmira Group, which entered the industry in 1977 through bunker services, is now one of the key players in the sector. Mustafa Aslan, Chairman of the Board of Asmira Group, says they are steadily advancing toward becoming a local brand across all European coasts. Meanwhile, having been elected to the IBIA Board this year, Aslan states, “I am deeply honored to represent our country within one of the most respected international networks in the maritime industry. In this role, I aim to contribute to increasing the global visibility of the Turkish maritime sector and to undertake valuable initiatives on behalf of our country.”
Speaking about the company’s foundation and its position in the sector, Mustafa Aslan says, “Since our first steps in the bunker field in 1977, Asmira Group has continued to grow based on the experience, business ethos, trust, and sustainability we have gained. Today, we blend our accumulated expertise with a global vision and steadily pursue the goal of ‘Becoming a Local Brand Along All European Coasts.’ We aim to combine our core competencies with today’s dynamics and innovative approaches to bring our superior service understanding to more locations and stakeholders across various fields in the maritime sector.”
Services Offered
Describing the services under the Asmira Group umbrella, Aslan says, “Today, we offer integrated services in many different areas of the maritime sector. Under our Asmira Marine brand, we provide ship and yacht fuel supply, yacht chartering, marine fuel stations, boat maintenance and repair, and yacht brokerage services. Additionally, we have consolidated Asmira Energy, Tacklog, Miraka, and Orfeo Events under Asmira Group. This year, through Asmira Marine, we innovated by partnering with Frauscher, Austria’s leading speedboat brand, becoming its distributor in Turkey and connecting Turkish coasts with Frauscher boats. Under Asmira Energy, we have a strong land-based service network including fuel stations, wholesale fuel and lubricant sales, vehicle recognition systems, fuel transportation, and supply. Under Tacklog, we offer logistics, storage, and distribution services, while Miraka handles brokerage services in marine fuels and petrochemical cargo trade. Our newly established Orfeo company provides event management, marketing, and experience design services.”
International Presence
“Our operations are not limited to Turkey,” Aslan continues. “We also actively serve at Portonovi Marina in Montenegro and D-Marin Dalmacija Marina in Croatia. In addition to six strategically located marine fuel stations in the Aegean Region, we operate two marine fuel stations abroad—one in Montenegro and one in Croatia.”
Accurate Analysis of Sector Needs
“Asmira Marine offers an integrated structure providing end-to-end solutions in maritime services,” Aslan explains. “We operate not only in fuel supply but also in yacht chartering, maintenance-repair, and marina operations. Moreover, by correctly analyzing sector needs, our TR Marine and EUR Marine fuel stations provide uninterrupted service to both domestic and foreign customers thanks to their strategic locations. We have expanded our strong operations in Turkey internationally through activities in Montenegro and Croatia. We carefully develop our partnerships with the same diligence. To maintain high service quality at every location, we clearly define our standards and secure them through regular inspections and training.”
Speed, Efficiency, and Transparency Through Digitalization
Regarding their digitalization and technology efforts, Aslan states, “We see technology not just as a tool but as a strategic element transforming our business processes. We value the speed, efficiency, and transparency brought by digitalization in the maritime sector. Accordingly, we invest in digitizing both operational processes and customer experience. For example, we strengthen our fuel supply tracking and reporting systems with digital infrastructure and make our field operations more controlled and efficient through vehicle recognition and remote monitoring technologies. On the customer side, we facilitate services such as booking, quotation, and operation tracking via digital platforms. In the near future, we aim to integrate AI-supported analytics and data-driven decision support tools into our processes.”
Goals for 2025
“We have started 2025 very strongly,” Aslan shares. “We are in a period where we are taking strategic steps to support our growth in the sector. One of the most exciting developments this year was adding the world-famous luxury boat brand Frauscher to our portfolio. Additionally, we acquired İzmir Aliağa’s first double-hull next-generation sea tanker (bunker barge) through a new investment. By the end of the year, increasing operational efficiency and maximizing customer satisfaction remain our top priorities. This year also marked a proud and exciting milestone for me personally. As the first Turkish representative elected to the IBIA Board, I am honored to represent our country in one of the most prestigious international maritime networks. Through this role, I aim to enhance the global visibility of the Turkish maritime sector and contribute valuable initiatives on behalf of Turkey.”
