Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) and CMA CGM Group have signed a $434 million investment agreement to develop and operate Terminal 4 at Jeddah Islamic Port in Saudi Arabia. The project is expected to add up to 2.6 million TEUs of annual container-handling capacity to the port.

The terminal, which will be developed within RSGT’s existing concession area, will feature deep-water berths capable of accommodating the world’s largest container vessels, advanced terminal equipment, and 10 new ship-to-shore (STS) container cranes. The investment is intended to strengthen Jeddah Islamic Port’s position on the key East-West trade routes crossing the Red Sea, while enhancing Saudi Arabia’s logistics capacity.

The project is seen as an important step in Saudi Arabia’s strategy to develop its port and logistics infrastructure in line with the objectives of Vision 2030. For CMA CGM, the agreement will expand the company’s global terminal operations network while further strengthening its strategic presence in Jeddah.
