UKMTO: “59 vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz in the last 48 hours”

Amid ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) shared an update on the latest situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement, UKMTO said that 59 vessels had transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past 48 hours. UKMTO described the risk level in the waterway, which is of major importance to international maritime shipping, as “high.”
