Ship sank following the attack
India’s Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, stated that the Indian-owned cargo ship sank following an attack off the coast of Yemen and announced that all crew members survived the attack.

An attack was carried out on the Indian-owned cargo ship MSV Faize Noore Oliya off the coast of Yemen. India’s Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, stated that the ship, which was hit by explosive ordnance in the attack, capsized and sank, and reported that all 14 crew members on board, including 13 Indians, survived the attack.
Sonowal said that the crew members were rescued by the Yemeni coast guard teams, adding, “I have instructed the Director General of Maritime Administration (DGMA) to take immediate measures in coordination with all agencies to ensure the absolute safety of Indian seafarers in the region and to provide all necessary assistance to the rescued crew.”
