Russia says it struck a cargo ship heading to Odesa

The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that Russian forces carried out drone attacks across Ukraine targeting logistics hubs, port and transport infrastructure, communication centers, and vessels allegedly linked to the Ukrainian military.

In a statement, the ministry said that a data center in Kyiv and logistics hubs in the Kyiv and Odesa regions were targeted in the attacks. It also claimed that two drone storage facilities in Mykolaiv, as well as the headquarters of a naval base, the headquarters of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, and military warehouses at the Port of Kiliya were hit.

The Russian Ministry of Defence also reported that a cargo ship allegedly carrying military and dual-use materials to the Port of Odesa was targeted in the attack.

In a second statement issued later on Sunday, the ministry said that two data centers in Kyiv, a logistics hub in Odesa, and another cargo ship sailing toward Odesa were targeted.

The statements did not provide details on the names or flags of the vessels, the nature of the cargo they were carrying at the time of the attacks, or any damage caused in the incidents.
