Almark Logistics Boosts Sea Freight to Russia and Belarus by 45%
Almark Logistics has increased its sea freight operations to Russia and Belarus by 45% over the past year.

General Manager Onur Güvenler stated: “The widespread use of 45-foot containers has enhanced our operational efficiency, providing significant competitive advantages for our customers.”
Operating with effective logistics solutions across Russia, neighboring countries, and the Turkic Republics, Almark Logistics has expanded multimodal transport services significantly. Güvenler highlighted that in transit shipments, cargoes are brought to ports by road and then transferred into 45-foot containers, resulting in notable efficiency gains.
“While securing new agency agreements in sea freight, we began offering more competitive freight rates. Our transit customs clearance and operational processes have accelerated. We saw marked increases particularly in the transport of vehicles and spare parts. Overall, the widespread use of 45-foot containers strengthened our door-to-door delivery efficiency and gave our customers a competitive edge,” Güvenler explained.
With growing volumes, Almark Logistics diversified and optimized its transport routes. Güvenler noted that the company increased the number of shipping lines operating from Ambarlı, Gebze, İzmir, and Mersin to Novorossiysk and St. Petersburg.
“Our service frequency has grown, and transit times have shortened. In line with rising demand, we introduced new routes and time-saving adjustments at both departure and arrival ports,” he said.
Güvenler emphasized that more frequent sailings have improved flexibility in cargo planning. Within Russia, the company deployed special trailers with high-volume road transport capacity. Using a shuttle transport model between depots, ports, and final delivery points, Almark Logistics achieved time and cost optimization.
“We updated our domestic distribution network in Russia. We strengthened door-to-door deliveries to key hubs such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Rostov, Krasnodar, and Minsk in Belarus. This provided our customers with both cost savings and competitive advantages,” Güvenler added.
Highlighting the company’s strong growth in global markets, Güvenler noted that Almark Logistics has expanded its infrastructure in Europe and North America. He underlined ambitious growth targets in the US market, announcing plans to open the company’s own offices there.
