A Liberian-flagged ship attacked off Romania

Tensions caused by the war in the Black Sea have risen again. Romanian President Nicusor Dan said that the Liberia-flagged LPG carrier Gas Lisbon, sailing from Egypt to Ukraine, was struck off the coast of Romania last night. Dan said that Romanian rescue teams evacuated the crew, including three injured people, and that a tugboat had been dispatched to the area to prevent the vessel from drifting.

In his statement, the Romanian President said, "State institutions have been placed on alert and will determine how this serious incident occurred, its causes, and those responsible. This incident is most likely part of the Russian Federation's illegal war of aggression against Ukraine."
