Serhat Baysal, the Chartering Manager of PGE Romorkor, one of the important tugboat companies operating in Türkiye’s offshore operations, evaluated their company’s successfully completed concordat process and future goals for 7Deniz. Emphasizing that concordat is not an end but a new beginning when managed correctly, Baysal said that the process resulted successfully thanks to transparent communication, customer trust, and strong team spirit. Stating that the difficulties experienced brought the company to a more disciplined, more experienced, and stronger structure, Baysal expressed that investments and growth plans continue, and they will share an important project that will make a splash in the sector with the public in the near future.

As one of the leading tugboat companies operating in Türkiye's offshore operations, we take the rightful pride of having successfully completed the concordat process we experienced. This process was not only a financial restructuring for us, but it also revealed our corporate resilience, our team spirit, and our commitment to the sector once again.

What was the most important factor that led you to successfully complete this process?

The most important element was that we never gave up the struggle. In order not to lose our customers' trust, we managed the process in a transparent manner. Instead of hiding what happened, we established correct communication and stood behind all the promises we made. We did not take a break from our work. On the contrary, we continued to gain new customers. We maintained our operations without disruption and never compromised on our service quality.

What was the greatest strength that kept you standing in this process?

Our greatest strength was our teammates. Everyone in our company saw this struggle as their own struggle. From its management to the operations team, from our captains to our field personnel, everyone worked from the heart. Thanks to this unity and togetherness, we did not only re-establish our old order; we reached a structure that is stronger, more disciplined, and more ambitious than before. As our successes increased, we also regained our trust in the market.

What is the most important lesson you learned from this process?

In times of crisis, the greatest capital is trust and reputation. Financial problems can be solved; however, it is much more difficult to regain lost trust. For this reason, we always kept our relationships with our customers at the forefront and never compromised on the service quality we provided.

What is your advice to companies going through similar processes?

First of all, they should not despair. Even the most difficult processes can be successfully managed with correct planning, transparent communication, and a strong team. Instead of competition, let them focus on their own work, their service quality, and their customers. Success will already come after this.

What are your goals after this?

Today, compared to the past, we are much stronger, much more experienced, and most importantly, much more ambitious. As one of the largest tugboat companies operating in Türkiye's offshore operations, we continue our investments and growth targets without slowing down. Very soon, we will share a very important surprise with the public, which our sector will talk about closely, will create a great echo in the market, and everyone will like. This is not only a new investment; it will be an important step that will give direction to the future of our company. Because we left the difficulties we experienced behind. Now, it is time to build the future.
