The 5th International LOGISTECH Logistics, Storage and Technologies Fair, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organised by İZFAŞ, was held at Fuar İzmir from October 7 to 9. The event attracted a total of 18,460 visitors, including 17,388 domestic visitors from 43 provinces across Türkiye and 1,072 international visitors from 35 countries.

The fair provided opportunities to establish new business connections and strengthen existing partnerships. Panels and discussions addressed government support for the sector, international transport corridors, logistics costs and competitiveness, sustainable transport, decarbonisation and next-generation biofuel solutions. Industry representatives, academics and experts also discussed current developments and future opportunities in the logistics sector.

“Türkiye Is Our Second Home”

Lamiya Xalilova, a board member of the Azerbaijan Customs Representatives and Logistics Companies Association (AGTL) and president of WILAT Azerbaijan, said the organisation attended LOGISTECH with a delegation of 33 people representing 16 companies. She noted that a panel on the Zangezur Corridor attracted considerable interest.

Xalilova said the delegation established new business connections and signed agreements during the fair. She added that the hospitality they experienced in İzmir made them feel as though they were in their second home.

International Business Partnerships Strengthened

Lili Yu, general manager of Ningbo Guohua Group, attended the fair through WIFFA, a platform aimed at promoting cooperation among international logistics companies in China. She expressed satisfaction with the reception in İzmir.

“It is a wonderful fair. I experienced the warmth of the Turkish people and the vitality of the logistics sector. We held meetings with various companies throughout the event. We shared our plans for barter trade between China and Türkiye with the Aegean Exporters’ Associations and invited the delegation to visit our stand at the China International Import Expo, which will take place in China in November.

“We had the opportunity to meet international companies face to face. The warm welcome we received in Türkiye has strengthened our confidence that future business partnerships will continue to grow,” Yu said.

“We Will Return Next Year”

Onurhan Kadıoğlu, business development director for ports at Alport Group, said the group participated in LOGISTECH for the first time following the start of its operations at İzmir Alsancak Port.

“LOGISTECH was useful for sharing our objectives with industry representatives. We would like to take part again next year and share the work we are carrying out at the port,” Kadıoğlu said.
