Statü Shipping Receives Its New Vessel
Standing out in the maritime industry with growth-oriented investments, Statü Shipping has taken delivery of the vessel 29 Ekim as part of its fleet expansion strategy involving three ships.
Built in Germany, each of these vessels has a capacity of 40,000 DWT. The first ship was delivered in Istanbul, while the remaining vessels are scheduled to join the fleet in 2026. Under the preliminary contract signed recently, the first vessel 29 Ekim was delivered, while the other two will be handed over in Istanbul later this year. This investment is expected not only to increase Statü Shipping’s transport capacity but also to significantly strengthen its competitiveness in international markets.
Names Reflecting National Values
The names given to the new ships carry remarkable meaning. Inspired by dates that hold an important place in Turkey’s national memory, the names 23 Nisan, 19 Mayıs, and 29 Ekim strongly reflect the company’s commitment to national values.
