Amid geopolitical crises and blocked air/sea routes in the Middle East, Turkey has emerged as the region's safest "transit corridor" due to its geographical advantage and operational speed. Multinational companies are increasingly replacing stalled air and sea freight processes with the land-based solutions of Turkish logistics firms.

The most striking recent example of this shift occurred last week involving a German technology giant. Due to the ongoing crisis, the company was unable to airfreight critical filter parts weighing 4 kilograms. Eyüp Logistics stepped in with its "Cargo Taxi" (express minivan) model. The critical parts were picked up from a warehouse in Berlin and delivered overland to Erbil, Iraq, in just 3 days.

"We Are Seeing a Serious Surge in Demand for Transit Transportation" Eyüp Bartık, Chairman of Gaziantep-based Eyüp Logistics, highlighted Turkey's growing strategic role: "Escalating tensions in the Middle East are reshaping logistics dynamics on the Gulf route, where Turkey has an extensive foreign trade volume. As disruptions plague regional ports and airports, forcing freight onto roads, we are actively supporting exporters. We are seeing a serious surge in demand for transit transportation via Turkey. Through operations managed from our Gaziantep warehouses, we are safely delivering cargo from Europe to regional countries, primarily Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar."

Express Deliveries with the "Cargo Taxi" Bartık noted that the minivan model provides a significant advantage for partial loads requiring fast delivery: "We transport loads ranging from 100 to 1,300 kilograms via our new-generation minivan fleet. By operating much more flexibly than standard truck transport, we dramatically minimize waiting times at border crossings. We have the capability to pick up cargo from a customer's door in the evening and deliver it to the destination point in regional countries by the next morning."

Eyüp Logistics manages not only exports but also import operations from the Middle East to Turkey, serving strategic sectors such as food, textiles, automotive, machinery, and chemicals.
