Cooperation Meeting Held Between ADDA and GN Group
As part of TİKA’s business visit in Istanbul on May 19, 2026, the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy (ADDA) delegation held a cooperation meeting at GN Group’s Istanbul office
The delegation, led by Acting Rector of ADDA Eldar Gocayev, was welcomed by GN Group General Manager Ahmet Gün, Deputy General Manager Ali Aliyev, Technical Director Elşen Balaşov, DPA and HSEQ Manager Halil İbrahim Esa, Crew Management Manager Yasin Ayaz, and Insurance Claims Manager Natig Hasanov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening the existing cooperation between ADDA and GN Group, further enhancing bilateral relations, and identifying potential future joint projects.
Speaking at the meeting, Eldar Gocayev thanked the GN Group management for supporting the internship program of 13 ADDA students onboard the company’s vessels and at its facilities during the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
GN Group General Manager Ahmet Gün expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation with ADDA and emphasized the importance of developing relations between the two institutions for the maritime sector.
GN Group Deputy General Manager Ali Aliyev noted that ADDA students demonstrated strong knowledge and professional competence during their internship period and stated that the company was highly satisfied with their level of preparation. Aliyev also announced that GN Group would support the practical training of an additional 20 students as part of the upcoming summer internship program.
The meeting also included discussions on supporting the participation of ADDA’s academic staff in international experience-sharing and scientific cooperation programs, inviting foreign experts to contribute to education at the Academy, and establishing special scholarship programs for students.
