AVS Global Ship Supply Marks 40 Years
Founded in Turkey and today serving in many ports worldwide, AVS Global Ship Supply celebrates its 40th anniversary at a time when the ship supply ecosystem is rapidly changing.
AVS Global Ship Supply Deputy General Manager Doğukan Şimşek shared the following assessment regarding the anniversary:
“Leaving forty years behind carries a meaning far beyond a corporate milestone. This year also serves as confirmation of trust, resilience, and sustainable growth. We started as a family business in Turkey and over time transformed into a global structure. Yet the values that have guided us since day one have never changed. This year represents the continuation of the Heritage of Trust we have passed from one generation to the next.”
Şimşek continued:
“Throughout our forty-year journey, the most prominent aspect was the moment when our customers began to see us not only as a supplier but as a true solution partner. During the pandemic, in times of supply chain disruptions and regional challenges, we stood by our customers. No matter how difficult the conditions became, we never ceased our support. This commitment is one of the fundamental elements shaping our identity today.”
Highlighting that the company’s growth is based on a customer-oriented approach that goes beyond product delivery, Şimşek added:
“We focus on understanding the real needs of shipowners, captains, and operational teams. In a period when expectations are shifting towards speed, transparency, welfare, and sustainability, this approach guides us. Accordingly, we strengthened our logistics network, expanded our expertise in provisions and catering, and enhanced our digital capabilities. Thus, we can provide our customers with clearer visibility and more consistent support in every port.”
Today, AVS serves supply and procurement teams operating in Turkey and international ports through a wide global network supported by continuous investments in logistics centers, consolidated delivery capacity, and digital tools that strengthen communication and increase predictability.
Şimşek concluded his remarks with the following words:
“The industry is changing, and expectations from suppliers are evolving in parallel. While we preserve the stability our customers trust, we are also preparing for the next stage. Forty years is an important milestone; however, this period also forms a solid foundation for the years ahead.”
