Maritime security and risk companies reported that three more vessels were targeted today. One of the latest incidents involved the Thai-flagged bulk carrier Mayuree Naree. The ship’s engine room was damaged, and a fire broke out. Three crew members remain missing, with owner Precious Shipping stating they may have been trapped inside the engine room.
The company confirmed that the remaining 20 crew members were safely evacuated and reached Oman. Search operations have been launched for the missing crew.
The ongoing conflict continues to pose a serious security risk for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
