Attack on Vessel in the Strait of Hormuz: 12 Seafarers Injured
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced that 12 seafarers, including 11 Indians, were injured in an attack today on the Panama-flagged commercial vessel MT On Peace in the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman.

In a statement issued by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, it was stated that an attack was carried out today against the Panama-flagged commercial vessel MT On Peace, which was passing through the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman.
The statement said that there were a total of 19 crew members on board the vessel, including 17 Indians, and that 12 people, including 11 Indians, were injured.
The statement said, “With the assistance of the Omani authorities, the injured crew members were evacuated and are receiving medical treatment in Khasab, Oman. We thank the Omani authorities for their valuable support.
The ongoing attacks against vessels in the region continue to be a matter of deep concern for India. In the interest of peace and stability in the region, we reiterate our call for such attacks to cease immediately.
Attacks against commercial vessels, seafarers and civilian infrastructure in the region must end, and navigation and trade through international waterways must be restored as soon as possible.”
