WISTA Türkiye White Party Supports the Dreams of Female Students
WISTA Türkiye’s White Party brought together maritime industry representatives to support scholarships for female students, with all sponsorship revenues directed to the scholarship fund.
The WISTA Türkiye White Party was held at Spago by Wolfgang Puck on September 23, 2026. The event was attended by İMEAK Chamber of Shipping presidential candidates Recep Düzgit and Şadan Kaptanoğlu, Chamber of Shipping Board Member Barış Dillioğlu, KOSDER President Neslihan Torlak, Captain Orhan Kasap from the KTÜ Alumni Association, Ship Brokers Association President Serhan Özcan, and representatives of numerous non-governmental organizations.
The focus of the evening was the scholarship fund for female students studying maritime. In its call ahead of the event, WISTA Türkiye emphasized that every student dreams of completing her education and writing her own story at sea, and invited the industry to support these dreams.

In a brief speech during the evening, WISTA Türkiye Chairwoman Melike Aysu Gürgan stated that sponsorship contributions were allocated to the scholarship fund. Gürgan noted that the entertainment expenses of the event and the scholarship fund were kept separate, and thanked the participants who purchased invitations.
Gürgan said, “People see who stands by them in their difficult times; it is equally valuable to see who is by their side in their good times. If we are gathered here today in such a large crowd, it means that we have done beautiful things to date. I would like to thank all WISTA friends and my fellow board members. It is good to have you.”
Companies Supporting the Scholarship Fund
EOS Group was the main sponsor of the event, while STATÜ was the diamond sponsor. Gold sponsors included Kaptanoğlu Group, Kıran Holding, Düzgit, Kalya Shipping, GİSBİR, Aqua Chartering and Alp Ateş Gübre.
The silver sponsors were Bayraktar Shipping Group, Turkon Line, Cantaş Marine, BD Construction, Kınay and the Ship Brokers Association, while the bronze sponsors were announced as Ange Assistance, Atomar Denizcilik & Atotech, VAV Shipping House, Link Gözetim, Demircan Law Firm, Pacific, Orka and Seymar Denizcilik. WISTA Türkiye announced that all sponsorship revenues would be transferred to the scholarship fund for female students.
