Four LNG Ships Arriving in Türkiye
By January 15, four liquefied natural gas (LNG) ships from the United States, Algeria, and Angola will arrive in Türkiye.
According to international vessel tracking data, two ships from Algeria and one each from the U.S. and Angola are en route to Türkiye’s LNG terminals, carrying more than 600,000 cubic meters of LNG.

Berge Arzew and Lalla Fatma Nsoumer departed from Algeria’s Arzew Port on January 9.

Minerva Kalymnos left the Venture Global Plaquemines LNG Terminal on December 22.

Malanje departed Angola’s Soyo LNG Terminal on December 28.

Arrival Schedule

The Malanje, carrying about 160,000 cubic meters of LNG, reportedly reached Türkiye yesterday evening.

The Berge Arzew, with 145,000 cubic meters of LNG, is expected to dock at the Marmara Ereğlisi LNG Terminal on January 14.

The Minerva Kalymnos, with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

The Lalla Fatma Nsoumer, with a capacity of 145,000 cubic meters, is expected to reach the Aliağa LNG Terminal on January 16.

Malanje and Minerva Kalymnos are sailing off the coast of Balıkesir.

Berge Arzew is in the Central Mediterranean, while Lalla Fatma Nsoumer is in the Western Mediterranean.
Transit Times

LNG ships take about one week to reach Türkiye from Algeria, two weeks from Angola, and three weeks from the United States.
Contribution to Türkiye’s Energy Supply
Once the LNG arrives in Türkiye, it is processed and converted into pipeline-ready form before being fed into the system. This way, natural gas transported over long distances by ship reaches households.
The LNG carried by these ships is expected to yield more than 350 million cubic meters of gas after regasification. This amount corresponds to Türkiye’s gas consumption for about 2.5 days in summer and 1.5 days in winter.
