A Tailor-Made Approach to Software Development

“We take a tailor-made approach to software,” says Eron Software Co-Founder Onur Koç, as he shares highlights from the company’s diverse portfolio across various industries. “We’ve delivered a wide range of projects — from Germany’s national COVID-19 appointment system to the ‘Yellow Asks’ trivia app developed for Fenerbahçe, and the vote counting system created for Memleket Partisi. We’re also active in the insurance sector; for instance, we’ve developed an eyeglass tracking system integrated with the UTS (National Health System). Thanks to our hands-on field experience, we quickly identify what businesses need and guide them toward the right solutions. Companies that work with us embark on a long-term software journey.”

Custom Software Solutions for Every Vessel Type

“At Eron, we embrace the process — every project is a journey,” Koç continues, emphasizing that they deliver custom-built solutions for every request that comes from the maritime industry. “We develop process-oriented software tailored to different vessel types and maritime companies,” he says. “Whether the request comes from a shipping or port operation company, we treat each one with the same level of care and precision. We analyze workflows, shape the project accordingly, and ultimately deliver a usable, high-functioning product. Just like a tailor takes measurements before sewing, we always start with in-depth analysis to ensure the right fit for each client.”

n late 2019, the executives of İdeal Bilgi Teknolojileri and Şenyıldız Yazılım combined their decades of experience to establish Eron Software with a shared vision. Highlighting that the goal was not just to develop software but also to bring start-up ideas to life, create original solutions, and approach clients as true business partners, Eron Software Co-Founder Onur Koç stated:

“With over 20 years of experience, we develop software that brings ideas to life, turns them into commercial value, and addresses real needs. Our team is composed of high-caliber professionals committed to service quality. For example, companies abroad invest in digital infrastructure even before buying furniture like desks and chairs. The Turkish maritime industry also needs to adopt this mindset. We hope to continue contributing more to the sector.”

Eron Software’s Tailored Solutions for the Maritime Industry

Specializing in custom-built software tailored to industry-specific needs, Eron Software stands out with its Roo.Center platform, designed specifically for the maritime sector. “With Roo.Center, we offer an end-to-end system that allows ship supply companies to manage their entire process — from request to quotation, order, and invoicing — all in one place,” said Koç. “We also plan to launch a ship management system in the near future.”

Roo.Center: An Intelligent Supply Platform That Streamlines Complexity

Originally conceived as a ship supply tool, Roo.Center has evolved into a comprehensive digital supply management platform. Koç explained:

“Roo.Center eliminates the need for manual data entry by automatically importing complex PDF and Excel files submitted by ships into the system. It provides detailed insights into which products were sourced from which suppliers, when, and at what cost. This allows companies to easily compare prices and select the most suitable suppliers. Every step of the supply chain — from preparing quotations and placing orders to delivery tracking, document management, and invoicing — is handled digitally within a single platform, ensuring both speed and transparency throughout the process.”

Koç also noted that with Roo.Center, companies are no longer required to hold physical stock. By digitizing the supply chain, the platform helps save both time and costs.

Young Talent, Fast Response: Eron Software’s Agile DNA

At Eron Software, agility is more than a method — it’s built into the company’s DNA. “Our team’s average age is 24.5. We focus more on potential than experience,” said Co-Founder Onur Koç. “We bring in young engineers who meet key criteria, and under the guidance of Erdal Şenyıldız’s experience, we’re able to channel that energy in the right direction and take action quickly.”

Koç believes this combination of youthful energy and seasoned leadership has shaped a dynamic and creative work culture that helps Eron respond to customer needs with speed and innovation.

Software as a Strategic Investment

Koç also emphasized that software should not be seen as a mere tool, but as a strategic asset. “For any company to be ‘readable’—meaning that managers can clearly see what’s happening across their systems—is essential for effective planning. Digital transformation is no longer a luxury; it’s a necessity,” he explained.

“Organizations need the right software to measure performance, profitability, and efficiency. We don’t just fix problems; we help companies grow a vision. We take an active role in their transformation process—joining meetings when needed, helping them set strategic goals. That’s what makes us a true partner.”

Strong International Presence

Eron Software isn’t just growing domestically; it’s also making its mark internationally. “We developed one of the most downloaded apps in Germany and established our own company there,” said Koç. “Business development and analysis are managed from Germany, while software development takes place in Turkey. We believe in the potential of Turkish youth and their ability to deliver globally competitive results.”

The company is also eyeing the UK market. Koç revealed that he plans to introduce Roo.Center to a wider international audience during a major trade fair this November.

Turkish Software Ready to Go Global

“Software is the process of turning imagination into reality. It’s complex and demands collaboration,” Koç said. “A project should be embraced not only by the technical team but also by the client. Turkey may have missed the industrial revolution, but in software, we have a real advantage—especially with our young, talented, and visionary workforce.”

A Key Milestone: Cantaş Denizcilik

One of Eron Software’s earliest and most important partnerships in the maritime sector was with Cantaş Denizcilik, a company focused on maritime safety.

“This collaboration was a turning point in our digital transformation efforts,” said Co-Founder Erdal Şenyıldız. “Every business must adapt to digitalization. Today, monitoring operational workflows digitally is no longer optional—it’s essential. Digital tools dramatically improve efficiency in processes like price comparison and quote generation.”

Şenyıldız also pointed out that the maritime sector has lagged in accessing digital solutions. “We know this industry inside out,” he said. “Our goal is not to compete, but to enhance the quality of service by offering targeted solutions for its many sub-sectors.”
