Maersk, one of the world's leading maritime transport companies, has temporarily suspended its operations at Ukraine's Chornomorsk Port on the Black Sea due to escalating Russian attacks.

After halting export cargo bookings last week, the company also decided to redirect import cargo destined for Ukraine to Romania's Port of Constanța. Cargo arriving in Constanța will be transported to Ukraine by road.

The decision was taken following the intensifying Russian attacks on the Chornomorsk area, during which dry cargo and bulk carriers were also reported to have been targeted.
