Giving information about the brands they represent and the documents they hold, Barbaros Onur, General Manager of GEPA Fiberglass Industry and Trade, said, “Our products are manufactured in accordance with all rules and regulations regarding life safety at sea. With its products certified under SOLAS and IMO rules, GEPA is a preferred global brand whose quality is trusted. Our company has facility and product certificates from institutions such as Bureau Veritas, DNV, RMRS, PRS, Türk Loydu. We would like to state that we are also the Turkey representative of the high-quality Bukh marine engines that we use in our production. In addition, we are the Turkey representative of the Vestdavit brand. In our production facilities, in addition to standard products, specially designed boats designed in line with the demands of our customers are also manufactured. In addition, our repair, maintenance, and service services are provided by our sister company Onursan.
Providing information about the products and services they plan to implement in the coming period, Onur said, “Besides our current products, it is among our goals to ensure that GEPA productions, which are shaped in line with the demands and needs, continue to develop and grow in the future. In 2022, GEPA received the Facility Security Certificate issued by the Ministry of National Defense. In this way, the need for military projects on life safety at sea will also be produced by our facility. In recent years, our R&D studies continue in line with the demands of Polar Notation compatibility, the need for domestic and international training platforms, and commercial life-saving equipment with high personnel capacity. As a national value, GEPA will continue to serve the Turkish maritime industry and foreign demands.”
GEPA's product range includes: Open, semi-closed, fully closed and freefall lifeboats made of fiberglass (C.T.P. : Glass Reinforced Plastic – G.R.P. : Glas Reinforced Plastic), fiberglass and inflatable rescue boats in different speed categories, service boats, harbor and work boats, manufactures life buoy lockers, life buoy release systems, fire lockers, foam applicator boxes, respiratory equipment lockers and boxes, battery boxes, life jacket boxes, rescue boat and inflatable life raft automatic hooks.
